Owned, help me out on the RT in 04. I want to say that was Tapscott's side without being able to pull up the video currently. If so, he was absolutely obliterating his man vs. Clear Lake all game long. The Clear Lake DE on that side would have been justified in pressing assault charges after the game.

I see a lively discussion. No one is getting the hairdryer treatment.

I'll be interested to see where the 09 line falls in terms of personality. Ideally, you want a combination of both. The best lines are both powerful and smart (see 97, 00 seasons among others). Smart football players make Katy what it is. I think most coaches would be the first to tell you their teachings are useless without sharp and receptive minds on the receiving end.

Eman was a guard in 03' because Longachre was the RT. He transitioned to RT in 04. I believe Brian Ferris and Nathan Blair were the guards.

Eman Naghavi and Stuart Freeman alternated at SG in 2003.
I think I remember the OL in 2004 being
76 Jacob Straka ST
69 Eman Naghavi SG
57 Cody Lopasky C
67 Nathan Blair QG
77 Jordan Tapscott QT

I remember this team running 54 sweep to perfection. They really utilized Tapscott's athletic ability at getting out on the edge. Tapscott was probably one of the most talented O-line man to ever go through Katy that didn't get a whole lot of recognition. If he would have busted his tail and had his head on strait, he could have been D-1.

OK

Now that we have talkied about and debated which o-line of previous years was the best (or worst) and who played what positions on those teams ... does anyone know who is going to be on this years OL and have some info about them.

Don't want to start a cat fight or anything ... just want to know who ... how big ... how fast ... are they returning starters ...
are they FR., SOPH., JR., SR., Just the basics.

There are a bunch of us on the outside looking in and would like those on the inside to share what they know. More info makes for
a more lively discussion.

Not saying this threat didn't have it's lively moments.

Please don't put ANY stock into this, just my guesstimations/wish list

Conner Cox SR 6'1 255
Aaron Sowell Soph 6'1 285
Kevin Blanchard SR 6'6 295

Agreed re: Gessler and Stringer. They will be in the mix.

Price and Cox are the two most experienced, and Gessler was promoted in the regular season as a sophomore. Based on what I know right now, Katy has a number of players battling for spots in the rotation. It will be interesting to see how the line ultimately solidifies, and that is of course one of the big question marks.

Wow! 290-300lbs on a 6'-1" frame is borderline sumo wrestler.

Ima not caring about the past teams. I hope this season's team eventually becomes one of the great ones.

I hoop with him and his brother pretty much nightly. He's a big boy. Stringer has been coming lately with us along with Chapman and Turcios
